MBP won't turn on after plugging iPhone USB cable

Hi. I have a month old MacBook pro.
A couple of days ago i plugged in the USB iPhone charger while the laptop was asleep (lid closed) but when I tried opening it, it wouldn't turn on. When I plugged the charger it started blinking green/orange and the laptop didn't respond or turn on. I left it for a couple of days and tried charging it today, it turned on and worked normally.
I plugged in the iphone USB without realizing it was the problem in the first place and now the laptop won't turn on and the charger is blinking same as before.

I tried both resets (SMC/PRAM) but it still won't turn on.

Any idea what the issue is or how to turn it on without waiting a couple of days?

Maybe the MBP battery drained while the phones plugged in? You tried charging the MBP?

Btw you didn't plug the iPhone charger in, you used the white cable to synch your phone to your MBP, right?

yeah i meant the white cable. it didn't drain it, the MBP stopped working as soon as i plugged the phone cable.
the MBP won't charge, the light on the charger blinks faintly from green to orange.
