I realize there are other threads regarding MSP's not waking from sleep, however most replies have been related to it being a "known problem with Leopard." Thing is, this is happening on the Windows partition, not the Mac side.
I am running Windows Vista Business 32bit on my Fall 2009 MBP. It doesn't matter if I close the lid and reopen it or if it naturally falls asleep after being idle for some time. It seems that 75% of the time or more my computer won't wake up. I hear the CPU running when I hit a button, but then it slows down. I try again, and nothing happens at that point. I close the lid before hitting any buttons, and the light pulsates. If I close after an attempt to wake it, it just gives a solid white light.
All I can do is hold down the power button and restart. This is frustrating because I run my most important software on the Windows partition (my Adobe software was for Windows) and while I save on a regular basis, I'd hate for one time my computer to fall asleep before I saved my work again and I lose it all. Plus, the extra time sent restarting the computer is a great pain.
So while there are answers for the Mac portion... has anyone dealt with this while using Windows? If so, how did you resolve it (if at all)? Any tips would be great.
Thanks!!!!
