I have a late 2010 13" MBP running Mountain Lion. It's mounted in a Henge Dock, connected to my 23" monitor.
Every night I put the MBP to sleep by hitting CMD-OPTION-EJECT on the Apple Bluetooth keyboard.
Lately, some mornings, it won't wake back up when I hit a key on the keyboard. The Magic Trackpad won't wake it either.
Because it's in the dock it's a pain to remove it, open it, hit the power button, close it and re-dock it.

I have found that I can plug a USB mouse into the USB extension cable that the Henge Dock uses and that will wake it up.
I'm not sure but I think this started before Mountain Lion came out.

Any thoughts why this is happening or an easier way that I can wake it when it does?

Have you checked the box,

"Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer"

In mouse/keyboard options in system preferences ??

Yes, it is. Most days it works fine. But at least 1 day a week it just won't wake and I have to get out a wired mouse.
