I am having some trouble on my MBP13". It does not seem to want to sleep. It's running 10.6 with the lastest updates. I have changed the stock HD for an SSD. The problem is that while the display will go to sleep, the unit itself does not want to seem to go to sleep after a set time. Instead the display is just blacked out and the status LED on the front is lit steadily (indicating the book is not displaying anything but is on, when the lid is up). If I close the lid it works fine, and sleeps within a few seconds of the lid closing, but leaving it open it will not go to sleep. This is kind of a hassle as I would like to be able to just walk away from it and then if I don't get back to it within X minutes it will just go to sleep instead. Now I have to close it otherwise it will just run all the time.

I have tried quitting all software to see if maybe there was some software causing the hangup, also resetting both the SMC and the PRAM don't seem to help either. It maybe sleeps once properly but after that it won't work. Fearing SSD conflict issues I disabled the "put HD to sleep when possible" option to no avail either.

Any ideas? I think I even tried once erasing the .plist files associated with energy management and still did not get it to work. Anyone else having this problem?
