Hi guys,

I have my new MBP14" and so far it's great except the touchpad "clicking by tipping" seems unresponsive at times. Difficult to reproduce - sometimes it just doesn't react. Doesn't change where I touch it, seems random.

I hope Apple would not exchange the whole unit but only the trackpad. Did anyone have similar problems (maybe also with older MacBooks)?

I'm relieved! My Intel MBP2020 seems not to be affected. Do you have more information about this, maybe a link, please?

I'll file a report for sure, though.

Edit:
Physically clicking seems fine. Only tap to click is affected. Can you confirm this with your machine?

Sure, this issue has first appeared in the 8th beta of macOS Monterey. It's a shame this has not been fixed in the release. But it is by far not the only bug that Apple has ignored...
