Hi

AAC in Spain accepted my mbp17 with the pre ordered hi res card upgrade from Apple a few weeks ago for a replacement of its logic board after video card died, 6 months prior to this i was experiencing screen flickering and black screens a few times, i took it to AAC but they said until its dead nothing is necessary, meanwhile logic board is dying well as the dvd optical drive etc, and while all this these parts where needed to be replaced and if i agreed to pay 600 euros it will be available within a week.

I got call today with news that they fixed the MBP17, but they only said they replaced the logic board on the phone, i also asked what they decided to replace it with since
1) was a custom order hi res car and
2) later found out after problems that NVDIA later openly admitted that the card was defected and caused damage to the computer's logic board and other components, NVDIA agreed to cover the damages but apple does not state how clearly for offered a replacement program.

MacBook Pro 17" Hi Res/ 2.4GHz/2X2GB/550HD

Can anyone here who has had a mbp15/17 with a re ordered hi res card and problem telll me what apple replaces teh defeced MODEL NVDIA recalled with and if its better or more less the same?

Cheers
