MBPR Strange system freeze when usb devices are plugged in

I need some help as this is really bugging me.

Running 10.8.2
Some things tested
Plugging Iphone 4s, 5s,
USB micro sd reader
Samsung 830 over USB

The system freezes / unable to move cursor (sometimes the cursor disappears)
for up to 5-10 seconds and then the system is usable again like normal. This is very frequent any think you can recommend before I book a genius appointment?

Did you ever get a fix for this?
I'm having the same issue with my 13" 2011 MBP.

Edit: Nevermind. I found the answer with another forums search. Turns out that resetting the NVRAM and PRAM is a temporary fix but Android File Transfer is the reason. Deleting it also fixes the problem.
