My old 2011 MBPro still is the most powerful out of the few Macs running at home and it's a while it is slower than the old Dual G4 which once in a while I switch on just to proof what a different hardware was back in time.
The MBPro runs on 16GB RAM and I also updated the spinning HD with a 1TB SSD only to find out it is still slow, changed it again to a spinning disk to proof the disk is not the issue, I thought about a S-ATA controller fault but they are still same slow and today I run a hardware test which gave bad battery as a result.
Could the faulty battery slow it to the point of being quite unworkable?
Grazie
