Hi, I have a MacBook Pro that I use with an external monitor. I love having a BIG screen at my desk with the versatility to disconnect and go anywhere with my laptop.

My question is: Is there a way to tell the Dock to Auto-Hide when I disconnect the large screen (which is set to primary so it has the dock/menubar) so when I'm using the smaller screen, I have more "real estate" available. I like seeing the dock when there's plenty of screen space on the external, but the laptop screen needs every square inch it can get when it runs solo.

Thanks!

I don't think you can do this automatically, but you can use cmd-alt-D to enable/disable auto hide easily.
