MBPs for $1499 at Apple Store

Looks like Apple is unloading their inventory and put the older 2.16 GHz and 2.33 Ghz MBP models for sale. Seems like a good time to pick one up as you can now get one for the same price as a Blackbook.

right .. so those are just refurbs then. Good thing my G4 is still working, looks like there may be quite some time to go on this.

These are refurbs and depending on the amount they get back, are always available. These are not brand new computers on sale. This means nothing and does not indicate updates are impending.

I wouldn't get my hopes up, the 2.16/2.33 model came out October 2006. If they were selling the current model (June 07) at that price then I would get excited
