Any idea what kind of input lag MBP's own screen has? I'm about to buy Dell's 3008WFP screen, which has heaps of input lag so I was thinking maybe I could just satisfy what little gaming need I have with MBP's screen. Would also bumb up the fps, of course.

I have never noticed any perceptible lag on my 17" high-res MBP. Oh and most of the input lag on the 3008WFP is due to the hardware scalar I believe.

I have an older 3007WFP-HC which is the same screen but no scalar and its great.

Yep, that's true, but it also lacks the ability to suspend display-level processing, which would drop lag times.

I thought that MBP wouldn't have noticeable input lag since it supposedly doesn't have the processing of external LCD's, but then again I have no clue about laptop screen technologies...
