I have seen that the macbook pro line is apparently due for update, according to likely update info on macrumours

I have just ordered the 15inch 2.66 4Gb Ram, 320Gb 512 9600M macbook pro.

I was wondering what other people thought / are doing re: ordering a new macbook.

When did the 2.66 come out?


Any thought on the new model will the high level one likely be 2.93Ghz

It was spec update, not a performance bump in the sense of update processors. The guide does not account for the small spec update which only happened about a month ago.

As with getting a 2.93GHz version, that is one of the BTO options you can choose if you order from the Apple online store.

probably not until the fall. you got a great machine (same as me) so you should be fine for years to come
