Hello! I'm planning to buy a used Macbook Air. The MJVE2LL/A model (early 2015) is being sold at $850 whereas the MD760ll/A model (mid-2013) is being sold at $700. What's the difference between the two? Is it worth the extra $150 and get the newer version? I'm mainly using it for school (ie. Microsoft) and web browsing/ youtube videos. Thanks! I'm a total noob with computers.

Newer model has:

- Better CPU
- Better GPU
- Better battery life
- Faster Flash storage

IMO that's worth the additional cost. Might as well pay the extra $150 for the sake of longevity and the reassurance that you're buying newer tech.

I wholeheartedly agree with this post. The upgrade cost is relatively affordable when you take into account the hardware improvements. As a reminder, the hardware can't be upgraded so you're stuck with whatever RAM, processor, and flash drive capacity you purchase. For your needs though, it sounds like a base model will be adequate.
