I have a 1.0Ghz DP MDD that won't boot, and I think I broke it...

I was testing some sticks of RAM on it that I got out of another computers. Then I put the original RAM back in, and it just gets stuck at the apple symbol with the white background. It does make the pong noise though.

With a verbose mode 'command + v', "waiting for root device" just keeps looping.

When I try to run the diagnostic CD, it doesn't run and gives me a 'invalid memory access'.

So I bought a new stick of 512MB PC3200 DDR, popped it in, same thing :(

I tried a PMU reset, and did a PRAM reset too.

Did I break my logic board somehow?

Its a long shot but try replacing the battery on the motherboard.
