1.) Got me a Back-up G4 MDD to my 1.25 Dual
But they made a mistake. It was agreed that the Office of that Profi Musician and Video Editing Office removes the Drive.
They did,but they removed the Disc Drive and left Hard Drive on.Maybe there was a second,i dont know about.
2.) So i got me another MDD for Parts. YM4213ARQU9
As they are all 3 1.25,but have differend Heatsink. So i fired everyone up to see what i have.
Now,the one(1.) is a 1,25 ghz Dual with Sheed Heat sink during mine old has Aluminium Sink.
And the other(2.) is a Single 1.25 ghz with Sheed Sink,i decided to remove Disk Drive and forward to the Market again.
But no.
There single is fast,i dont believe.Faster then my old Dual 1.25 ghz.
All running OSX 10.5.
I was sure just upgrade to 1.42 could make them faster. Have 2 Gb Ram and OSX 10.5
So,why is my old that slow? And Safari likes crashing after a few minutes.
I found in another website someone explaining,to renew Heat creme between CPU and Heatsink before doing anything else on the Hardware,as overheating is often the matter.
Don't know anything about that.
But i had twice problem that it stook during Boot on the OSX 10.5 Sunlight Picture, and i have a bit the Idea it could be the Encrypter not working well by decrypting.
But now i have a Machine too many, and sadly the single Processor 1.25ghz Machine runs much better then the both Dual, all 3 Version with only Firewire 400.
The other Thing is the Heatsink.Think the Sheed Metal Sink are the later Version and not that Noisy.
The Single must work hard that i hear the Fan,during my old, with Dual Processor and Aluminum Sink is like a lovly Dog who barks when coming Home,i hear when arriving Home blowing like a Jet engine,to know it has not been a Power Failure :) On the other Hand heats that Mac my House better than a Radiator.

Sorry for my English, but there are no Mac Info in German around

1.) What may be the reason that Safari crashes since a few Weeks. (Maybe a update too many?)
2.) Twice that the Boot stuck at the OSX 10.5 purple Picture (after i turned File Vault on)
3.) Shall i keep the 1.25 Ghz Single CPU G4 MDD,or the 1.25 Ghz Dual CPU G4 MDD

Besser in Englisch bevor ich mit der Community probleme bekomme ;)

I'm on a Single 1.25MDD Right now, and it runs great. Set up with 1.5gb of RAM, and Leopard all updated. Its running the latest version of Safari great. Sure its a little laggy, but nothing major. I do keep thinking about moving back onto Tiger, but there really isn't any need to. These Machines run Leopard great. I use mine for Audio and Photo Production, and its fine. Once it dies' i'm going to be getting a dual 1.8 G5 and using that till it dies. Then after that i might have to face moving to Intel :/

well,my Single 1.25 Ghz is sold.
But my Dual crashed already four Times.Had that few Weeks ago twice, then it was OK for, till today.
Don't know if anyone can till with that report.

Will see how it does

Swap out the Graphics card with another one?

Looks like that might be the issue, but its late and going thought Error dumps isn't my thing right now :p
