Okay, so after a few years without a mac I've come back to the fold and I am now a proud owner of a 2012 Macbook Air 11". I can easily say this is the best laptop I have ever owned, no regrets.

However I also purchased a Belkin MDP to HDMI adapter with the hopes of connecting to my ASUS VG236 (23" 1080p) monitor. After choosing the correct resolution the image displays fine I suppose, but just not... super? I can't explain it, it just feels like a haze over the external display, completely different from the picture I get through DVI from my gaming PC.

Are their any known issues using adapters like this? would i get a better picture by going DVI or even VGA? Do certain displays play with thunderbolt mac's better than others?

A/V experts, I eagerly await your reply.
