mds processes outta control lately (Lion)

Has anyone else been experiencing erratic mds behavior under Lion? It's not constant; it comes and goes, but it's been frequent, pretty much an every day occurrence. Taking up to 200% cpu, not to mention the mdsworker processes as well. Not sure how to procede. Don't want to do a clean install if i can help it. Any suggestions?

I am seeing the same thing ... mds completely maxing out my ram under lion.

Yeah I'm seeing the same thing...seems to happen every time after I reboot to Windows and come back to Mac.
