mds_stores running randomly, > 1000% cpu

I am noticing mds_stores sometime running at high cpu, like > 1000% cpu, see attached screenshot.

I have seen reports of high cpu for mds_stores on the internet, but never this high.

And it appeared only with Catalina.

And it seems to be related to Firefox, though I cannot be sure. I have only lastpass and AdBlock extensions.

Anybody have a clue what is happening and how to fix this ?

I have already rebuilt my spotlight index (using Onyx).

I would look at the below suggestions. Thought main cause was a corrupt Spotlight index in the past.
