Resolved Media control and Spotify

Hi

I use Spotify on Lion. The play/pause button works globally (and does not launch iTunes as a number of people have posted about) but the next/previous track buttons do not work.

I tried downloading Spotify Menubar which allows you to set global hotkeys but for some reason just pressing F7 or F9 is not recorgnised (the closest I have got is holding FN+F7 or F9 so that the actual function key is the shortcut instead of the media button, without FN being held).

Any tips?

For anyone struggling with this - this is what I've ended up doing:

Installing 'Spotify Menubar'
Setting the next/pause/back track buttons to their function key alternatives (hold FN and press the key)
Install USBOverdrive
Map those media keys to the 'key press' for the function key (so you dont need to hold the FN key)

Now they do what you expect...
