Media controls on an early G3 keyboard?

I have an old iMac G3 (tray-loader) keyboard, as well as an old translucent MacAlly iKey from that same era, both of which I quite like using with vintage and modern macs. However, neither of them have keys for media controls, brightness or volume up/down.

Is there any software for OS X that allows you to remap function keys for these purposes?

(Would also be nice to know if there is software for this for OS 9, and also for modern macOS).
