Media Drive in new macbook

I just bought my first mac las week, a new white macbook, and I just now used the media drive. I expected it to kind of suck the disk in after you put the disk there...but it doesn't. You have to push it in, and it makes an EXTREMELY "clunky" type sound....not exactly graceful.

Anyhow I just wanted to see if this is a defective drive, or this is normal. Any feedback would be appreciated.

That sound is completely normal. It sounds like it is eating the disks.

Makes me feel better about it. I really didnt want to have to take it in so soon
