"media placeholders" required to add QTmovies to blank pages?

In the iweb help I just read that I should be able to first copy a "media placeholder" from a movie page and paste it onto the blank pages I am using on my website, then copy and paste my quicktimes of wmvs inside them. Is this a correct way to put movies in blank pages that will actually play?
