Just a note to reccommend Mediarecover http://www.mediarecover.com/ for OSX.
Had a 'mare with 200+ photos from an XD card in my wifes new Fuji digital camera all of my sisters wedding. iPhoto royally corrupted about 1/2 of the images and continues to have issues with them.
Tried to recover all I could from originals and then from folders to no avail.
Found Mediarecover on the web late last night and it found all but 3 of the 294+ images on the XD card (Had to plug it into a media reader). Download lets you try and see iof it can recover (you can see files and images) but you cannot save until you buy a reasonable £20 / 30 duff exchange rate if you ask me!
Good value does exactly what I wanted. Reccommeded by me.
