Hello,
First time posting here but a long time lurker. I'm a social scientist that has been using the Mellel/Bookends combo for some time. I'm starting to get a little tired of the sometimes cumbersome UI for both apps (and in the case of Mellel having to export all my files which is a pain especially when using with DevonThink). The lack of support (in Bookends) for more obscure citation styles that some journals in my discipline use (i.e. ASA) is a huge PITA. I do love the integration between the two apps however and think that part works marvelously.
Long story short (hey I'm an academic we ramble) I'm interested in Nisus and Sente as possible replacements for either both or one of the apps. I've dabbled with the trials but 30 days is not really the same as long term usage. I've searched in the forums here and haven't really found anything too recent about them. Does anyone here have any experiences with these apps and have any suggestions?
