A memo I wrote to myself reveals iPhone 6+ was "unlikely to meet 9/19 shipment projections." Production delays set majority of order fulfillment back approx 3-4 weeks but details in the memo suggest omitting this info at the 5.5" variant reveal. Memo goes on to state "... fulfillment delays attributed to high demand would be inconspicuous and more appealing than announcing multiple launch dates." The memo concludes with suggestion that majority of available inventory of 6+ should be diverted to retail locations. The memo ends with a scary :). What do you make of this?

Think about it who has shown a confirmed 9/19 shipment on 6+?

Here you go. Proved wrong. 64 GB 6 Plus from Verizon. Already got my notice.

Pics or links or it didn't happen.

Dude...maybe this whole site is just in your mind and your dreaming. When you wake up, they'll be announcing the iPhone 12.

My 6+ is preparing for shipment and I even know its serial number, linked to my account...

Lol. Go to the verizon status thread OP. Several 6+ buyers have gotten their shipment confirmation today, including myself.

What are the 4th and 5th digit if you don't mind? The 3rd digit should definitely be "4".

Im interested in what week yours was produced :)

Several on Verizon got 9/19/2014 for the Plus model.

I got my Plus model through apple and have 9/19/2014 delivery date.

Yep. I haven't gotten my shipment tracking number yet but when I ordered I had a delivery date of 19 Sep.

iP6+ 64 GB Space Gray verizon model.

Where are you guy seeing the serial #'s from your new phones? And how do you figure out the dates?

Maybe this explains why so few people have gotten the 6+ even after pre-ordering early on?

You just put the rumors in the mac.

Two of them preparing for shipment and still set to be delivered on 9-19, so they got enough...at least for me. I think it's just as likely that Apple did not anticipate as high of a demand as there was. Kind of like the gold phones last year (at least this year I finally get the gold phone that I wanted).

I don't think its that 100% not anticipating the demand. I don't think they had enough ready. The rumors were swirling weeks before the announcement that they would both get announced but only the 6 would come out first, with the larger screen coming in the next month or two.

I don't think they wanted to split up the launch so they went ahead with the launch in hopes they could satisfy demand as much as possible.

I'm hoping they ramp production fast so people who want them can get them, but until then just make it next Friday already! I want my 6 Plus!!! :D
