memorex 48 u scanner

hi all,

i bought a memorex scanner at a yard sale for $5 today and i have been trying to get it to work on my mac. the scanner just came as itself without a box or instunctions. when i plug it into my mini nothing happens except for the green on light turns on. when i plug it into a windows comp it not only recognizes it but also makes scans with out any drivers . i am not sure what i need to do weather it will be a program or drivers to get it to work
