Memory advice & suggestions.

Should I configure the new imac with 16 GB memory, or is there a place where I can buy it for less than $600? If so does anyone know where? Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Too soon to be listed yet, but expect it to be about $210 for 16GB at otherworldcomputing.com or about $190 for 16GB at crucial.com. Both are very reliable vendors.

I would definitely go with what talmy said and wait until OWC has it available, and if they drop the price. They are great to deal with and have that "we're here if you need us" kind of attitude that you can't get with newegg or crucial.

Whoa that's a big difference, thanks. I'll go with the 4GB, and get the 16GB memory elsewhere. Will installing the memory myself be easy? I'm not real computer literate. This will also be my first mac. I'm making the switch from PC so I'm a little nervous about it.
