Memory Benchmark/software ??

Hey guys,

I just purchased 8GB of memory from crucial to upgrade my 15''MBP i5. I wanted to run some benchmarks before and after the install to compare the difference. Can any one recommend a good/reliable/accurate program?? Thanks!

Ummm... Geekbench tests memory, so does Xbench, and AJA system tools.. I can't say on reliability though.

I tried using Geekbench before and after upgrading my 15" from 4GB to 8GB of RAM, but I actually got slightly less in performance after the upgrade(?)

I never found any good program. i just went along with the upgrade from 4GB to 8GB and ill be honest, I didnt notice a whole lot of improvement. Excel spreadsheets still take a long time to load, and other programs still perform the same, with lag and spinning wheel. I am running a 2.4Ghz i5 so its not that old of a system and i have 140GB of free disk space
