Memory Capacity

When you sync your phone it shows on the computer an illustration of the how the memory is being used and how much is left.. eg 145 songs 300 photos etc on mine it shows 1.56 mb under 'other' and is illustrated in orange, what sort of thing is it? I don't have any videos on there and only two low memory applications??

I'm assuming it's all the data from the contacts, calendar, notes, etc., 3rd party apps.

its also the OS, emails, settings, podcasts (apparently they are not under audio)

There was another thread just posted about this.

Emails, Safari browsing history, apps, album art from mp3's, text messages, saved documents and attachements in email, calendar items, iphone settings / preferences, the OS, etc. etc.... all count towards Other.

Delete some and check it, you'll see.
