Memory card issue with Canon HF100?

This is the second time that I have had this happen. The first time was my son's 2nd birthday (lost everything recorded that day) and the second time was yesterday. While shooting, or switching from Video to camera...or even switching between review and shooting modes, all of a sudden the card will error and my only option is to initialize the card. The card I have for this is a Transcend 16gb class 6. It received good reviews on NewEgg from people using it in this camera and other flash memory cameras. My question is has this happened to anyone else and if so, was it the card or the camera that was the problem? I don't want to spend more on another card if the camera is the issue. Both card and camera were purchased back in late January of this year. Thanks,

It happened once in my HF10, too.
Fortunately i had the internal memory and saved the day.
But, when i switch off and on again the camera it happened again.
I didn't want to format the card so i removed it and install it again with camera switched off.
When i switched it on again, problem was vanished.
