Hey, Not sure if anyone has done this yet or not (I tried to Mroogle is, but nothing much came up)

So... I'm curious about your iPhone's capacity
How full is it (with screenshots, if you can)
Are you happy with your choice in gigs?
Do you wish you hadn't gone so big/small?
What (mostly) is consuming most of your memory (Pics, tunes, etc?)?

Thanks you guys!

I'll go first...
******************************************************

I went with the 32g

I am happy with the amount that it holds (baffles me bc so much is in there already).
But I do wonder if i wasn't overkill for someone who uses their phone for about 80% play and about 20% work functionality...?

Either way... i'm still impressed, but I prob could have easily gotten the 16g and still been very satisfied!

I originally started out being selective about what I was keeping on my iphone vs. archiving in iphoto, etc...
but at this point, I'm leaning more towards the "eff it" attitude---load it in!!!

Breakdown of actuals:
Photos: 461
Songs: 485
Apps: 49
Contacts: 176
and about 7 or 8 videos (approx)

Fail. I'm eligible for an upgrade next summer, so i'll grab the highest capacity available.

I try to leave half a gig free in case there is something I wanna throw on real quick without having to be bummed about removing something else

I got the 32GB. Honestly, 16GB is probably enough unless you want a lot of video or an extremely abundant amount of songs.

Wow, I'm surprised you got it to get to zero KB available.

yah and a cute little warning message comes up telling me to delete stuff.
hahaha

oh no, notice how my meter says zero KB free, but there is still a little white space left at the end. dont let TheSpaz see that.

You just got it not too long ago. You may put more music and stuff on it in the next year. I only have about 2GB in mine and I have the 16GB, I rather have room to spare and have none at all.

I got 32gigs this time, and I am very happy. More memory is always better. And the more I use my phone the happier I am. I have several books, tons of podcasts, music, videos, pictures, apps.

Since I had the 16 3G before, it wouldn't have seemed like a true upgrade if I didn't bump up to the 32gigs.

I'm happy I did!

Holy Crap!!!
So lemme ask you this...
Not that it matters too much to me, I'm just curious...
I have like 7 or 8 videos and they don't even show up on the memory meter thingie....
i wonder... is it bc its simply not enough to make a recordable dent?
(they're like a few minute long video's each and i have maybe 3 music videos)

What kinds of videos do you have on your iphones to chew up that much space?
is it little shorts like i have or like looooooooong vids or some different format that chews up more space?

I might get the 32GB. I might not have enough money for it, I have a 16GB now and it's plenty for me.

I don't have a lot of Apps on my phone. Its that much because of Navigon. I have a 16GB 3GS.

That's insane, there cannot be 0kb left, maybe a few bytes, but the iPhone would refust to copy once there's under 1MB left due to crash reports etc.

Looking at the amount left, using a mm ruler, and taking into account the scale, I'd say that there's around 10MB left actually.

How long did it take you to do this exactly. and why did you invest time for it in the first place?

OP, i believe music videos are lumped into the blue Audio section, but colored a few shades darker. look at my audio part of the meter, the last part is all dark blue. if i take off all my music vids, the dark blue goes away. i dont understand why they are in the Video section, it would make alot more sense.

Yup; video will fill'er up.

The iPhone won't handle my video catalogue for a while.

First is video second is audio.
