I am getting a Mac Pro within the next couple of days. I've got the very basic one (well, not much customizations for refurbs). Now I need to get RAM, HDD, Video Card.

With HDD it should be quite simple - any SATA HDD would do, right?

What about RAM? Is it any ECC DDR3 1066 or do I need "Made for Apple" memory? Would non-ECC memory work?

I think I read enough about video just to know... not to by it right away and to read more. I do not want to go with Apple and getting a PC one sounds a bit complex. Unless there is a simple guide I yet have to find :)

Sorry if there are too many questions - I am new to Mac Pro.

You get RAM from OWC. Only place you should look if you're in the United States.
