A little off topic, I know, but relevant given the tons of discussion here on the relative limitations of 4 RAM slots in the quad 2009.

Be glad you are Mac users - Windows 7 64-bit requires you to update to different skews just to get past 8GB (and again to get past 16GB).

I'm surprised MS doesn't charge you dynamically for each byte used.

i find it difficult to imagine a scenario where a user needs or has more than 4gb of ram and does not have at minimum the 'home premium' edition of windows 7...
