Hey guys, I have a tech question, and this may be in the wrong forum. If so, i blame rap music.

I need to find out how to modify memory values while an application is running - exactly what pandora's box did for OS 9 (really 8, but lets not be too picky.) I need to know this, because I want to make a Diablo II cheating program, and it appears the only way to do so with version 1.09 of D2, is to do a memory hack. I have done this successfully in OS 9, but I need to make a trainer for OS X. I just need to. I don't know why. Maybe its the rap music.

I have no clue how to do this in either Objective-C nor in RealBASIC, I don't really know how to make shell scripts but I'd be willing to learn. If anybody knows how, I would be eternally grateful. I have installed.. i think it called gdb, the mac os x debugger, and perhaps I can work with that, but I really need some programming way, maybe Carbon Calls or something, just to modify another applications memory, and thus hack D2 for the rest of us. Thanks.
