Hi there, I have a 2009 mac pro with 8 1gb memory modules. 2 hynix, and 6 owc. Last week the 2 hynix modules were not recognized anymore, so I replaced them with owc modules. Now this week, my mac pro would not boot up and got a blinking power light and found out one of my older owc memory modules was causing the problem cause it boots fine now since I removed it.

so im wondering if anyone has any ideas why my memory modules are going out is such a short time span? could it be heat? or something else? should I monitor their temps, and if so, with what? and what are safe temp ranges for memory? My do see my front and rear fans spinning.

Thanks for any advice guys.
