Memory Question

Hi all,

I currently have an i7 iMac which I've upgraded myself with 8GB memory. I would want to take the memory out of this iMac and use it in a new Macbook Pro 15" I'm buying.

Would the memory from the iMac work in the Macbook Pro ?

I notice the iMac has 1067 MHz DDR3 whereas the Macbook Pro uses 1333 Mhz DDR3 memory.

Does the difference in MHz mean the memory won't work on the Macbook Pro ? or will cause problems ?

I seem to remember reading the new MBPs won't take memory from older systems.
