Hi all,

I'm writing for some advice. I have a 15" PB, the new one. I bought some memory from Crucial (a 512meg chip). I put it in, it worked for a while, but then I was getting kernel panics. So I took it out and replaced it with the 256meg chip that used to be there. Now the system is crashing regularly. I swapped the two 256meg chips in there and whenever it crashes, it always tells me it's the top memory slot. So I don't think it's the memory chips. I have AppleCare on the Powerbook and I'd like to know what the procedure is and how I'm covered. I need the laptop every day. Do authorized Apple Resellers swap for a new Powerbook or do they take it for repairs and in the meantime am I stuck without a computer?

I'm located in Montreal, Canada, but there's lots of authorized dealers here.

Thanks!

Robert
