hi,

Sorry if i have posted this in the wrong place as i am new to this.

I cannot add files to my memory stick as the sharing and permissions are set to 'read only' (attached screenshot, don't no where it goes though)

i have tried doing the 'disk repair utility'
but most things are greyed out, so i can't change them.

i am running Leopard 10.5.2, on a 24" imac

matt

The disk probably has a hardware lock/unlock switch, change the option and reconnect it to your Mac.

no, sorry forgot to mention, there is nothing on the memory stick like a switch.

it is a 1GB USb 2.0 Flash Drive Bytestor

It's not formatted for MAC

I have a Sony Micro Vault 2gb drive and they are not compatible with Mac OS X 10 or higher. It's useless to me now. Sony tech support said it needs to be formatted to MS - DOS (FAT 32), not (FAT 16). Bummer, I have to buy a new one!
