Does anyone know if it's possible, or how to, reformat a USB memory stick? I have a Mac Book Pro 10.6.8.

from Finder, go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility
Hilight your thumb drive, go to Partition tab, select it as you want it and apply...

I don't want to sound rude or obnoxious, but how did you search and what were your search terms, if you used a www search engine?
That's not obnoxious at all. Last night was the first time I decided to Google it. I had just been trying on my own on the computer, just clicking on the right of my track pad. Figured if I tried it enough, it might magically figure out what I was trying to do
It didn't.When I googled, I only found stuff answered from 2008, so then I finally had the bright idea to go here.
