Short thoughts needed...

1. Upgrading the stock memory in the new MacPro would have delayed the shipping by 3-5 weeks. So, I got the base RAM model (3GB, expandable to 8GB). Would like to boost it to 8MB, but then i'll have 3 spare 1-GB chips. I saw that OWC will rebate, but only $5 per. What would you do?
2. Good/Bad/Indifferent? - Kingston, Crucial, OWC?

Thanks-
gf

Three sticks of memory in the 4-core 'early 2009' Mac Pro and six sticks in the 8-core system provide maximum triple channel memory performance.

Buy just three or six 2gb sticks.

OWC is only going to give you $5 bucks for the memory. You'll do much better selling it yourself on Ebay or Craigslist. I've sold much older memory than that and easily gotten more.
