I just ordered a new MBP 13" with the 2.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 &
4GB 1333MHz. I'd like to upgrade the RAM through a 3party vendor because of the huge price difference. Can someone tell me exactly what type of ram to purchase? I know its DDR3 1333MHz but id like to know the timing so i make sure i get 100% compatible RAM.

Timing doesn't matter. Any timing will be compatible, as long as the frequency is the same.

DDR3 1333 pc-10600 204-pin so-dimm unbuffered laptop RAM.

i upgraded to g.skill macbook pro RAM

it's DDR3 pc-10666 1333 204-pin

it works fine and performs better and faster
it was for around 80$ and especially made for macbook pro's

i just paid $47 for 8gb of 1333mhz ram. You paid about double what you should have.
