I have a Powerbook G4, with a 1.5 GHz Power PC G4 Processor and 512 MB memory. I recently installed Leopard, which has slowed down everything I do. It was recommended that I upgrade the memory capacity. What kind is recommended? How much? Is this something I can do at home or not? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi. There are a bunch of 3rd party RAM sellers, probably rhe best known are Crucial. They advertise pretty widely.
I use my 12" G4 powerbook 1GhZ still and have leaopard on it- I will be honest- I did not notice a speed drop when I upgraded.
I bought a 1Gb RAM upgrade from Crucial using their memory advisor (I think that is what it is called)- you put in your model of computer and it tells you the maximum it can take and what kind of RAM you should buy.
Having said that, I bought some extra for my girlfriends old HP laptop and it made it crash. No probs on my mac though.
