I have an 08 mbp. Was awesome for about the first yr. Slowly it kept slowing down to the pt where I just open up a browser like chrome and the memory fills up suddenly. I try backing up my very important files so I can reformat it but as soon as I try pasting even a 1 gb file it says memory full. I have 2 gigs and that was more than enough for my use. Please give me some advice on what to do. I want to ATLEAST be able to back up my files.

I can only answer for myself... The answer is a no. It seems to me like you need to reinstall OS X or that your drive may be failing....

Your HDD is either full or failing. Your files system might also be corrupt. Have you ran verify disk in disk utility or fsck from safe mode?

It is possibly caused by svchost.exe.

Its a mac computer?
