Menu bar color edit

Can anybody tell me where the folder that stores information about the menu bar as well as the images/colors that make it up? I am trying to manually edit it, and can't find the folder.

I am on OS X Leopard, and I know this forum is only Lion and up, but the other forums weren't very much help.
