Menu Bar Gray With Monitor Change

I installed a new monitor, which was the exact same model as the previous one and while the monitor settings on the new monitor were identical to the old one regarding sharpness, brightness, contrast, etc., for some reason the menu bar with all the icons at the bottom of the screen in Mac OS Catalina is gray and the top bar of my internet browser and mail program are a washed out light gray. Previously they were a different color. What could have happened and how does one obtain a darker color? Thank you.
