Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help me with an issue I'm having with my macbook. The top menu bar has an Icon that I can't seem to get rid off. I know the icon belonged to an anti-virus software I installed a long time ago. When I deleted the application it left the anti virus icon on the menu bar. Does anyone know how to get rid of that? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.
(Holding the command key and dragging the icon doesn't work)

You may not have completely uninstalled the app.

The most effective method for complete app removal is manual deletion:

one more question

Thank you GGJstudios for the suggestion, now because I did this a long time ago, I don't remember the name of the anti-virus software. Do you know of a way I can look at a detailed description of the icons that are on my menu bar?

What happens, if you click, right-click or Option click on it?

figured it out

Nothing happens when you right click on it but I did find a way to delete it finally. :D I had to go into System Preferences, Users & Groups, clicked on my user name, to the right of that screen I clicked on the tab that says Login Items and that's where I found the sneaky little bastard. I was able to right click on it from there, locate the folders and deleted them with extreme prejudice. Thanks for asking though, preciate it.
