Menu Bar MIA on iPad 8th Generation

Is the menu bar feature available on the 8th generation iPad with beta 2 of iPadOS 26? I can't get it to show up, and there is no option to always show it in the control center settings. TIA

It doesn’t always show up, you have to pull down from the top slightly.

I tried pulling down from the top, but that just shows a big sheet of notifications.
