Menubar Icons disappeared after update to 10.6.2

Well since the update menu bar shows up eventually less than a minute though.

What do you mean? Your menu bar appeared after you waited?

yeah, I also modified the search.bundle but reverting it didn't help. I did not modify anything else. can someone attach a working search.bundle file to his/her post?

All you have to do is rename your Search.bundle to something else then restart SystemUIServer. It worked for me, and it worked for others whose problem wasn't fixed by chmod 0755.
