Does anyone know what type of dock extender / adapter I'd need to make my 4S charge? I understand they moved the charging pin on and thats why my factory installed cable will not charge / power my device.

Thx!

This is exactly the opposite w/ my BMW iPod cable.
It will not charge my 3GS, but it does charge my 4S. :D

While I can't say for sure that it'll work on your car, what my car needed was something similar to the scoche passport

Basically just the cable would play music from my phone, but wouldn't charge - thats because it was designed at the same time as the original iphone which had a firewire pin configuration. THe 3G and newer phones have a USB pin config, which is why an adapter is required for power management.

Hope that helps!
