I was contemplating kicking my old 450 g4 in the pants by purchasing a Mercury Extreme 1 Ghz processor upgrade. For $230 I could have a 1 Ghz machine. Is there something I'm missing here. All the reviews I've read sound favorable. Is this the way to go or save my money for a G5??
For what I do I don't need the fastest machine in the world but a little faster than My 450 G4 would be nice. I already have a two fast hardrives and SCZI card so I think I would be better off than a Mini. Any suggestion or advise would be appreciated.
